Director Product Management – Data Targeting and Activation

Position Overview

AdTheorent is currently seeking an individual highly qualified and experienced in the technology and business of using 2nd and 3rd party data for targeting and analysis in an RTB environment. This individual will work with the product, technical, yield, sales and client service teams development and integration efforts regarding AdTheorent’s targeting and management of 3rd party and client data Key responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the success of the implementation of the company’s data strategy across partnerships, go-to-market, and operations, including communicating progress and risks to key stakeholders and team members, as well as identifying and removing obstacles that may interfere with the ability for the team to achieve assigned goals
  • Keep a pulse on the movements and activities of data providers, DMPs, and exchanges as it relates to data targeting. Translate the implications of these trends into actionable requirements for product development

  • Drive integration and development of data targeting and optimization capabilities across Adtheorent’s platforms.
  • Consulting with stakeholders ( sales, yield, strategy) to develop new segments and optimize existing ones
  • Monitor effectiveness and scale of audience segments
  • Build and manage relationships with data partners and tech vendors to optimize available data usage.
  • Research and understand data landscape trends and be able to translate the implications of these trends into actionable requirements for product development
  • Evaluate and alleviate legal concerns surrounding data monetization
  • Facilitate education and training to ensure effective implementation and adoption of the product
  • Assist in development of content for sales collateral and POVs
  • Ensure planning of go-live and deployment activities and manage their execution
  • Coordinate participation of different tech and business groups in requirements gathering, specifications, design, development and implementation of key projects.
  • Facilitate the creation of a well-defined Project Backlog or Project Plan.

Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of experience working in the digital media space with a, publisher, agency or ad tech company focused on audience data monetization
  • 2+ years of product management experience, preferably in ad-tech
  • Experience with ad servers, DMPs, SSPs, DSPs
  • Experience analyzing or reporting on data from various ad servers, bid management platforms, tag management systems, DSPs, and 3rd party data providers
  • Energetic self-starter with a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Strong technical, problem solving and creative-thinking skills
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to create insights and improve products
  • Familiarity with different media data including spend, research, television, print, and digital
  • Undergraduate degree required
