VP, Strategic Partnerships

Position Overview:

AdTheorent is searching for a VP, Strategic Partnerships to build and grow a key division of the company that contributes directly to top line revenue growth and profitability. The Strategic Partnerships group is responsible for evaluating and developing relationships with new and existing partners to AdTheorent. This includes but is not limited to partner buckets such as Inventory/Supply, 3rd Party Measurement Providers, and 3rd Party Data Providers for Targeting. The VP will liaise between AdTheorent stakeholders and its partners, balancing priorities across internal and external clients with what is in the best interests of the business.



  • Evaluate and understand strategic value in each vendor across the advertising ecosystem as it relates to AdTheorent’s short, medium, and long-term business goals
  • Negotiate favorable business terms with each vendor to grow top line revenue and bottom line profitability
  • Gather market demand from AdTheorent’s client facing/revenue teams and be able to clearly communicate the demand to internal stakeholders for prioritization
  • Define and execute on the vision for how AdTheorent approaches inventory sources, 3rd party measurement partners, and 3rd party partners for targeting
  • Provide mentorship and guidance for the Supply Operations and Partnerships teams at AdTheorent, ensuring that each direct report is set up for success in his or her own career
  • Spearhead the implementation of any technical integrations with AdTheorent’s partners from a business standpoint, providing thoughtful ongoing feedback to AT’s Product and Tech teams
  • Responsible for the ongoing management, development, and growth of digital partnerships post integration
  • Act as the main point of contact and work with internal stakeholders to ensure day to day operations are running smoothly and all partnerships needs are being filled
  • Provide client facing support across key accounts not only to provide senior leadership value to AdTheorent’s customers but also to remain in tune with the evolving nature of the marketplace
  • Work closely with supply partners and/or publishers directly to increase volume of high demand inventory types
  • Evaluate existing publishers to ensure clean and quality supply that meets AdTheorent’s high standards
  • Work with the Data & Analytics team to perform ongoing analysis of inventory and identify opportunities across partners, publishers and/or media types based on various KPIs


  • 10+ years of experience in the digital advertising industry with a significant portion of that experience at ad tech companies
  • Must have a deep understanding of the ad tech ecosystem and all of its players
  • Must have a strong set of connections in the industry and have experience navigating their way through complex business conversations with key decision makers
  • A successful history of translating business objectives into business successes with metrics to prove out success stories
  • Must have a “doer’s” mentality and willing to get their hands dirty to deliver on departmental and company-wide goals
  • Must be able to see the big picture and be able to rally others (direct reports and other departments) behind that picture
  • A thorough track record of managing and growing a successful team
  • Excellent oral and written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
